For the Next 150 Years with The University of Tokyo
The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2027. Since 1877, UTokyo has advanced world-class education and research, passing on knowledge from generation to generation and contributing broadly to society.
Today, as we face global challenges such as pandemics and climate change, we must act with a long-term vision that reflects our past while shaping the future. To prepare for the next 150 years, we have launched a new donation campaign, the UTokyo NEXT150.
This fund will provide stable, independent resources that strengthen UTokyo’s foundation, support autonomous and creative education and research, nurture outstanding talents, and enhance UTokyo’s appeal as a university open to the world.
